“It’s the inspiration to follow my heart.”

Christina A.
Wildlife Intern
Arizona Game & Fish Dept

It may seem hard to believe that a girl who could be gracing the cover of a glamour magazine is out in the wilds catching leopard frogs, tiger salamanders and slithering snakes. But Christina isn’t a bit fainthearted or squeamish about it. She loves what she does. While working on her college degree in Wildlife and Restoration Ecology, she became an intern with the Arizona Game and Fish Department in the Amphibians and Reptiles Program. Here she balances both office and field work, and actually feels privileged at being able to get all of this experience and professional mentoring as an intern. But best of all, she gets to explore her unbridled enthusiasm and passion for the conservation of wildlife. Welcome to Arizona’s wildlife wonderland Christina.
